Marimar Estate: The Torres family legacy in California

Marimar Torres has been involved in the wine business all her life, she was an ambassador of Spanish wines in America for many years, before living her dream and running her own vineyard in California.

Born in 1945 in Barcelona, Spain, she moved to California in 1975 and began planting the first vines in 1986.  

At Marimar Estate, she directs the activities at the winery and its two vineyards: Don Miguel, named for her late father, in Sonoma County's Russian River/Green Valley; and Doña Margarita, after her mother, in Sonoma Coast appellation. The vineyards are totally European in style and organically farmed. Made from hand-picked, estate-grown grapes, Marimar Estate wines are truly an expression of their exclusive terroir.
