Film Night

Mon, 20.09.10 TBC

Where?

Please email Anuradha for details.

Our monthly Film Night has become one of BWN’s most popular evening activities.
By vote, we select an English language movie that shows as “original version” (i.e. that has not been dubbed into Spanish) at an easy-to-reach Barcelona theatre.
We typically shoot for an early evening start time, meeting c. 19:30-19:45 at the theatre so that everybody can individually buy her ticket before the show starts. Often, many of us join up for a drink or dinner afterwards. And the popcorn & shake during the movie are anyway optional!

Cost

Pay-your-own-ticket.

That’s why I have no clue which way north, south, east and west are.

Defying The Law
Thursday, September 17, 2009

Have you heard of La Ley de Falta Uno (The Law of One Thing Missing) whereby you can never ever complete a bureacratic transaction in one go? Yesterday I had one more proof that you can’t defy it. And I should know better.

What Makes Catalunya Tick: The Food
Monday, August 31, 2009

During a conversation about food,  a recent arrival from UK asked her new Catalan friend/language exchange: “if this was your last night on earth and you could eat whatever you wanted, absolutely anything… what would that be?”
The guy barely stopped to think: “Bread and tomato.”

Agosto Spain is closed. Do not attempt to buy a house, get a new kitchen put in, renew your driving licence, make an insurance claim, see a doctor, give birth…
